Join us this Friday for the annual Spring Fling event at the Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay located south of San Francisco. JDRF, the global leader for Type 1 Diabetes research, will be hosting a sophisticated, yet extremely entertaining, costumed golf tournament and a day of shopping to help raise awareness and funds for finding the cure for Type 1 diabetes. Prizes for the Best Dressed Team will be handed out while a ladies’ luncheon and open-air shopping boutique will be part of the highlights of the day, followed by an evening of celebration.
Here are a few photos from last’s year’s event that will get you excited!
The Picket Fence will not only have a pop-up store at this charitable event but we will also be donating 20% of online sales to the honorable cause. Would you like to be a part of this wonderful event but can’t make it to California? Shop online now through April 20 and enter the code CURET1D at checkout and we will donate 20% of your sales to JDRF. The charity has also been challenged to raise $10,000 through online sales at the following websites: The Picket Fence, Acme Party Box, Loudmouth Golf and Tea Collection. If and when that goal is reached, a matching donation will be made, totaling $20,000 in donations! Who knew that shopping for gifts, accessories and clothes could benefit thousands of people?
Need more incentive to join in the fundraising festivities? Take a look at these hopeful young boys and girls as they share the stage with Raj Mathai, a Bay Area TV personality who has had the honor of emceeing the event for eight years.
We hope to see some new, smiling faces at the event and if not, we look forward to contributing to such a worthy cause through your online sales.
