Peterman's Boards & Bowls

Peterman's Boards & Bowls

Peterman's Boards & Bowls

Spencer Peterman is no stranger to creating beautiful home decor accessories by hand. Starting out as a basket weaver, specializing in Nantucket Baskets, Peterman found himself becoming interested in bowl turning while attending craft shows. He began his studies by visiting the wood bowl companies that are numerous in Vermont, and tried his hand at working a lathe. Not satisfied with the finished look a traditional lathe creates, Peterman eventually created his own, pioneering the rugged, unfinished look that has become Peterman's Boards & Bowls.

After more studying and practicing, Spencer noticed that many of the local trees were being cut up for firewood. Knowing he could create something beautiful with the magnificent maple, cherry and black walnut trees, he put his talents to good use and has created a one-of-a-kind collection of spalted and ambrosia bowls, trays, servers and more.
